Description
This J40 was professionaly restored for me some 8 years ago by a classic car coachworks.
The shell was soda-blasted, any dents removed and then etch-primed and painted in two-pack Speedwell Blue. All running gear was powder-coated black, and rebuilt as required. The front axle was restored on a jig to add strength and to accurately set up the angles.
The grille and bumpers were re-chromed, and the seat recovered in tan. New tyres and various minor pieces completed the restoration. Since the, it's been in store.
This would make a great gigt for a child, or perhaps as a display piece in a showroom.
