Description
1967 Yamaha L5T 100cc on-&-off road bike.
I got this very rare early Yamaha L5T a couple of years ago.
It was running fine when I got it, starting on the button with electric start.
Battery is on charge now so I'll update the advert with a video link when I've uploaded it.
It's a single cylinder 2 stroke with 3 speed box and high/ low ratio.
When in high ratio for the road, it'll do 60 mph, when in low ratio, it'll do 30 mph for riding off road.
Just turn the knob on the left hand side of the engine.
Speedo is showing 1609 miles, cant be sure if that's right, It may be there is no rust.
Its not original seat, and its on NOVA so hasn't got a UK reg but its easy to get from DVLA costing about £55.
As its over 40 years old, its historic vehicle with free road tax and no MOT required.
Its been standing for a year of more, so may need carb cleaning etc but shouldn't take a lot to get running.
When I bought it, I noticed the terrible chain guard, which I assumed had been bodged on but actually, its correct.
Search for pics of an L5T and you'll see I'm right.
Its not the correct seat or indicators if you want totally original but its a very rare bike that's a lot of fun.
