1953 was first year of the highly sought after second generation F100 and was also the last F100 to have the legendary Flathead V8 - which is the only combination I wanted and why it took so long for me to find it! This truck also a ’50 Anniversary” truck with badging to commemorate Ford’s Golden Anniversary (1903-1953)
Built at Ford’s Chester assembly plant 1953, the truck was originally Raven Black and was one family owned in the USA for 50 years before being shipped to the UK in 2009. I am only the 3rd UK owner.
A genuine and an extremely original, straight and solid truck – it’s by no means a ‘show truck’ (although I have displayed it at several shows) but a proper usable F100 which hasn’t been restored, hot rodded or has rusted away, so a very rare find these days.
The truck always starts on the button, sounds great, runs beautifully and is a pleasure to drive at a sedate pace bearing in mind it’s nearly 70 years old, and has recently been serviced with new brakes, wheel bearings, belts and engine & gearbox oils and filters.

Paint is now satin black with a black-on-black chequer, and the patina’d Harley Davidson Sales & Service door panels are (in my opinion) the perfect finishing touch
Still has the original toolbox under the bonnet

The only faults I can think of is that the horn doesn’t work, there’s a small repaired crack on the driver’s door window but it still winds up and down with no issues, mileometer has stopped working but the speedo is fine!
I hadn’t planned to ever sell the truck and it’s only for sale as we’re renovating the house and regrettably need the money to continue the work. If it wasn’t for this it would not be for sale.
We are on the Isle of Wight so I am happy to meet you in the truck at any of the ports on the island – just travel as a foot passenger and I’ll pick you up.
