Advertised here is a 1963 Datsun L320 Pickup powered by its original 1200cc engine producing 60hp through the original 4-speed column shift gearbox.
This vehicle is totally original in all respects and is in excellent, rust-free condition, still wearing its original paint. There are one or two very minor dents and spots where the original paint has been polished through, giving it a very authentic, rare and unique character while demonstrating its superb originality. It does however appear that the seat has been re-upholstered at some stage.
The mileage currently reads approx. 105, 000m which is believed true given the condition. Original books and owners manuals as well as the laminated original sales invoice is still present. This is surely a very rare and collectible Datsun which should ideally be preserved as is, or subtly improved with a view to retain overall originality.
The vehicle lived its entire life in the Limpopo region of South Africa (northern region, very dry) before being moved to the KZN midlands (also inland a dry climate) where it is currently displayed on the showroom floor of a Datsun dealership, and has been for about 5 years.
