1995 X300 X305 Daimler Double Six 6. 0 V12 Jaguar XJ12 engine and Gearbox with the whole car.
M544 MVV
Project car. Sold as seen, no warranty.
£3995
This car will probably be most useful as an engine and gearbox donor car for an E-Type/ older Jaguar model. The engine can be heard running and driven before a transplant, so its ideal in that sense.
Or the car as it is will need full restoration to get back on the road as a DD6, and look great again. Runs, drives, stops. But it needs a lot of bodywork/ welding.
I have a Dropbox folder of 130+ pictures, plus a video of the engine running, available via email to anyone who wants them.

V5c present, in my name.
3 original keys, including the green valet key.
One remote. Tested working.
Only 4 previous registered owners.
Mileage Currently 142, 455
Service history is missing including the service book.
Original hand books present though.
Rear folding picnic tables.
Print out of the DVLA mot history present.
The battery is not good, but it will start and run with a jump pack.
Needs a service ideally though, as it’s unclear when it was last serviced.
This car can only be seen as a project or parts car. It needs full restoration or it could be a good engine and gearbox donor for an E-Type/ kit car or similar?
The Good
The engine and box is smooth running/ working well.
No warning lights on the dash.
Sun roof operation tested working.
Rear sun blind tested working.
The Diff appears dry underneath, so there’s no obvious leaks present there.
The engine Starts first time, though the starter motor is a little noisy, only like the solenoid stays on tiny bit too long. This seems to be improving now it’s being run more regularly.
Plenty of power from the engine. Revs well.
The brakes work well.
Emergency warning triangle is present.
Wheel change too kit present.
Heated front screen/ heated front seats function.
New wiper blade fitted.
Front dash air vent is undamaged (a known weak point potentially).
Fluid levels checked/ topped up as necessary. (Though it may well need more PS fluid!)
The not so good….
Power steering leak, so it’s not ideal to drive like that. Though the steering will still work whilst it has fluid. I suspect it’s the high pressure pipe. But I won’t know until I have examined it further. I may be able to supply a new spare part? TBC.
The throttle linkage requires the small grommets replacing to properly balance the two TB’s. It’s a standard part for these 6. 0 engines. A few pounds for each grommet.
Rust around the front screen/ A posts
Front sill ends, front wings, Floor to sill joins, both rear arches, bulkhead. Maybe more once you start digging.
Dent and bubbling on the RH front door. Behind the rubbing strip.
The sun roof panel looks to be all good, though there’s a small patch of rust on the roof next to the sun roof panel.
The door mirror switch toggle button is present, but it’s not working.
One of the picnic tray tables has a broken part of the folding mechanism. It still folders out to about 90% of where it should be.
A/ C condenser missing.
Cup holder arm rear broken.
Lower front spoiler has a split.
Front Undertray missing.
Headlining sagging at the back/ pinned up.
Rear centre console air vent is damaged.
Rear bumper centre chrome kinked in the middle as usual.
Original radio replaced with aftermarket Pioneer.
OSR stainless trims are missing off the window surround.
OSR tail pipe finisher missing.
Boot badges deteriorated.
Electric aerial mast is broken off/ requires new mast.
The previous owner thought it a good idea to cut the looms for the eclectic seats. So those are not connected currently. They would need soldering back together.
Fitted with Dimple wheels from the sport model. They are still 16x8J, so the same size as original. They would need painting to look smart, or find the original Turbine wheels. Pirelli tyres all round. But they are old and cracking. So new tyres would be needed.
I hope this gives any potential buyer enough information. But if I have mussed anything, feel free to ask. But most of the important things are mentioned here already.
Please only make offers if you are serious about buying. I would prefer any buyer to view the car before making an offer.
