We are delighted to present for sale this handsome Series 3 County Station Wagon, presented in popular Light Pastel Green colour scheme. These station wagons are becoming increasingly rare in complete condition - and often have missing items such as trim panels, headliner, or top up seats - this vehicle has survived in very good order, which is particularly unusual and great to see.
Externally, there are all the hallmarks of a genuine station wagon - the bonnet mounted spare, recent galvanised front bumper, double tier roof with alpine lights and sliding rear windows, rear mudflaps, rear double step and towbar and electrics to name a few - it is great to see all these items survive and we think the culmination of all these items makes a very attractive Series Land Rover®. The bodywork is of a sprayed finish, and the vehicle sits on a set of cross climate 750 tyres to increase gearing and complete the look.
On the inside is where these station wagons really stand out from a standard Series - there is a pair of deluxe high-back seats in techno trim, with a central cubby-box for storage. A handy fire extinguisher is stowed on the bulkhead behind the seats. Deluxe matting is fitted to the front footwells, and door cards to the lower front doors for that luxury feel. In the rear, a set of 4 matching techno tip ups are fitted with a load mat to the floor. With sliding rear windows and high alpine lights, it gives the cabin a very light and airy feel - able to seat six in comfort. There is original deluxe trim to the rear door, sides of the windows and a headliner to the roof. All of this combined gives a quieter drive due to the additional trim and light and airy feel when you are inside - it doesn't get more civilised in a Series Land Rover® than this!
Out on the road, this old girl stops and goes as she should, with the larger tyres aiding gearing and the vintage look turning heads wherever you go. It delivers a pleasing period driving experience.
