Description
Iconic early Mk3 Escort XR3 finished in the correct colour, Sunburst Red.
MOT and full service on Tuesday 21st June 2022. Passed with two advisories-
- Battery loose in tray (resolved)
- Suspension bush deteriorated (replaced)
61k miles indicated, although given the MOT history and length of time in storage, I have no reason to consider it’s gone around the clock!
Traded in with me against an old BMW, this presents as a very honest car- the previous keeper owned and cherished this for 8+ years (5 of which it spent in dry storage) and covered a mere 3k miles in total. Before it came to me for storage (Sept 2020), it had a full service including belts and tyres. Sadly the invoice for which remains one of the only included with the car. V5 present though!
At the last (Sept 2020) it passed with no advisories and has been dry stored since. Absolutely solid underneath!
From a distance, the thing looks superb (under a fine layer of dust) but upon closer inspection you’ll notice a few small blemishes here and there. Nothing major, but there is a small bubble approx. 3x2” on the lower passenger door and a key scratch that stretches the length of the passenger rear wing.
All interior trim remains present and standard, including the radio and even the parcel shelf, which has never seen additional speakers!
All in, this XR3 is a remarkably honest car, it drives nicely enough for an old Ford and, once given a bit of a tidy, will present wonderfully at classic car shows.
I welcome interesting cars in part exchange, so do let me know what you have!
Please call/ text with interest as emails are hitting my spam folder and are consequently being missed.
Thanks so much for your interest, any questions, please do ask.
