Description
Here is my Saab 99.
Car running perfectly. Full years mot as of 28/ 07/ 2022
I bought it approx 11 years ago and drove it from Inverness to Northern Ireland in -20 degrees C.
This was prior to any restoration work.
It came with extensive history and extensive spares.
It had very little rust, none of which was even remotely structural.
It has 94, 560 miles on it now
Since I bought it, I stripped it to a bare shell. Dash out, Loom out, engine and box out, all suspension off, doors off, bonnet off, boot off, window out. About as far as you could go.
The panels were then sent for media blasting and the shell was scraped, sanded, stripped to as close to bare metal as possible without dipping.
The car then had any necessary welding completed.
This was as follows
1. extremely small plate at drivers heel in floor
2. extremely small plate behind front right jacking point on sill
3. drivers side inner rear arch (done before my time)
4. door bottoms
5. very bottoms of front wings
6. behind mudflaps at bottom of rear inner arches
Boot floor, inner wings, floor pan, sills etc were all and still are rock solid
Car was then painted in etch primer, 2k primer and ppg deltron grade a 2k colour coat.
Underside of the car was painted with bilt hamber epoxy mastic, mipa 2k stonechip coating and glasurit 2k colour coat (body colour)
sills and doors were wax injected
wiring loom was cleaned, tested and new headlamp plugs installed
USA headlamps were sourced, shot blasted, 2k painted in epoxy mastic and fitted with new halogen lamps

BAD POINTS
seats have covers fitted and could do with retrimming but are very comfortable with good foam . i have suitable period correct material supplied from martim to do this job
heater valve could do with rebuild. i sourced a rebuild kit from NAPA in the USA. This will be supplied
Car running perfectly and MOT booked for 8th August 2022
Way Way too much to list to be honest. way too much.
So why am I selling it?
I have 2 young kids and a new job and I no longer have the time or the interest to work at this or really any of the other cars I have.
I want someone who will fix or finish the couple of minor niggles above and leave this a show winning car.
Transport to any obvious place in the UK is approx. £500
Car will be left roadworthy and with a full years MOT when sold
