Here we have for sale a rare opportunity to acquire a genuine LHD Series 2a in original condition having spent its life in a warm climate. This vehicle would be ideal as an overseas holiday home run about or for those who live overseas and require a solid LHD vehicle.
As can be seen from the photos, this vehicle has lived a very sheltered life, overseas, with a warm and dry climate. We have never experienced or owned a vehicle like this in all the time we have operated….. it is such a rare occurence to find a Series 2a in an unrestored condition yet requiring no welding whatsoever. There are lots of period features that one associates with a crossover model (built from 1969 to 1971)- the wing top mounted mirrors, recent canvas, 750 wheels and tyres, rear grab handles and the maltese grill.
The interior is largely standard, with three standard front seats, and a seat belt bar for over the shoulder seat belts. There is a middle centre lap belt. In the rear, there are twin bench seats with 4 seat belts – meaning this Series Land Rover® sits seven occupants including the driver.
Out on the road, this Series 2a drives just as it should.
If you are looking for a left hand drive Series Land Rover® to enjoy, keep and pass on to future generations, then this vehicle is probably the only one for sale in the UK that can fulfil those requirements. These vehicles are seldom seen in the UK and the opportunity to purchase a vehicle such as this may never occur again.
