For sale is my superb V6 Probe in rare Silver Frost with Black leather interior.
These cars are now becoming very collectible with prices going up quickly for good examples. I class this as a very good example! The car has the most comprehensive service history I’ve ever seen, the car has mostly been to Ford main dealers throughout its life and has had thousands spent keeping it in the condition that it is. The car drives superb, a testament to how well it’s been maintained. The V6 engine is so smooth and quiet yet has a lovely sound from the exhaust. I’ve had a few Probes over the years but this is the nicest to drive I’ve ever had, even more so than one I had back in the 90s when it was still quite new.
Here’s a list of some recent work it’s had done in the last 6 months.
Cambelt, water pump, tensioner and Aux belt, thermostat, can cover gaskets.
Full service, plugs, dizzy cap, filters.
Rear wheel bearings. New tyres.
Genuine Ford driving lights as one was cracked.
New Battery and boot gas struts
New Clutch Fitted at Ford @£800
New discs and pads fitted allround, plus 2 new calipers, this bill was over £1000
The car has a ring binder full of all the invoices from services and repairs over the years with around 7k in invoices, every single MOT to confirm it’s mileage of 95k.
The exterior of the car is in superb condition. The paintwork is in lovely condition and looks to be original paint. There’s some tiny chips on the front bumper and bonnet but I’m just being picky really. The wheels are in good condition and it has the very rare genuine Ford Rear Spoiler fitted. It really does look very nice.
Interior is in excellent condition too, the seats aren’t worn through, and the carpets are like new, rear seats look unused. The boot carpet and trims all look excellent too. All the electrics work, windows, sunroof etc.
Mechanically the car is spot on. Never let me down and I’ve done some long journeys in it, the engine is silky smooth, powerful and drives lovely. I’d happily take it anywhere in complete confidence. These later Probes didn’t suffer the reliability issues of the earlier cars as they had sorted the issues out by this time.
The car is fully HPi clear, I have the v5, handbooks, and has just passed it’s MoT with no advisories.
