Descrição
This Alfa Giulia has been worked on to the highest spec while retaining the FIA papers in my 4 years of ownership. I have loads of invoices so you can see everything that has been done but this includes:
Fully rebuilt FIA spec 1600cc engine to include Cosworth pistons, Arrow conrods, lightened and balanced with strengthened sump, big valve head, new cams and liners – has done 7 races since this rebuild. All work was done by Andy Cattani at Classic and Race (including running the car for all races)
New gripper LSD fitted in 2020 along with a full suspension strip and rebuild. All joints, bushings and springs were renewed, with new front shocks
Custom fabricated 40L fuel tank
Brakes stripped and rebuilt
Comes with a spare set of wheels and new CR65M type tyres fitted
The seat and fire extinguisher are in date
It comes with chrome bumpers but they are not fitted
It had new pro-friction front pads before it’s last race which was the 2022 Thruxton Historic Festival. It was very competitive, lapping several seconds a lap faster than similar cars. This car is ready to be raced with the HRDC. Equipe, CSCC etc
The car comes with a spare set of wheels and with (currently) brand new M type Dunlop tyres fitted although I may use these if there is a wet race but they'll still be mostly new. Next race is due to be end of August 2022 at Castle Combe
The FIA papers are valid until 2025 as period F 1962-1965 competition touring car homologation #1269. Apparently, it could run in pre-63 if changed to ‘63 homologation class on L section tyres.
This car was a rally car in Finland and Denmark until 2010 or 2011 when it was converted to a road race car and there are pics and documents in the big folder of information / invoices going back 25 years which makes interesting reading.
