Description
This very well presented MG TD was first licenced in Debigh with the registration JCA846, which it was wearing until around 1972. The plate was changed to 4593 MG which was subsequently changed to the current registration 487UYW.
From the condition of the car it is clear that it has been restored at some time. The last major bills for work are from 2012 and 2015 when work was carried out on the engine and new rear springs were fitted.
Outside the car look very smart, there are a few small paintwork blemishes, but the chrome work is in very good condition. The black mohair hood looks relatively new and fits well with the black side screens in place. The car also comes with a hood cover and full tonneau.
Inside the red leather seats are pleasantly worn with a lovely patina. The dashboard is full of the correct instruments. The speedo indicates a mileage of 9, 644. The MOT records show a mileage change in 2012 which could indicate the fitting of an alternative gearbox. The 5 speed overdrive gearbox that has been fitted is a disirable upgrade that makes for a relaxed cruising at speed.
This is a very well cared for and usable MG TD that looks lovely in its black livery and red interior. Its a real pleasure to drive.
