We are delighted to present for sale this incredibly high specification Land Rover® Series 3, presented in popular marine blue colour scheme with limestone wheels and sand canvas.
As the photos show, this Series 3 is very well presented and there are lots of desirable features – the vintage numberplates, bonnet mounted spare, rear grabhandles, recent canvas, recent bumper, larger defender mirrors to aid visibility and original galvanised cappings to name a few. The vehicle sits on a brand new set of our own 750 wheels and tyres, which give both a good stance and increase the gearing due to the larger rolling radius – they are also exceptionally hard wearing and self cleaning. The bodywork is finished to a good standard too, above what we usually see – and in our opinion, we think this vehicle looks fantastic.
The interior continues the theme of being well presented – there are 3 front deluxe seats, along with deluxe matting to the footwells. A full rubberised deluxe interior is fitted as the photos show, which protects against damage and improves sound deadening. The rear is unfitted, but could house bench seats on request to make this a 7 seater vehicle for £495 all in.
Where this Series 3 really shines though, is out on the road – this really is one of the very best driving Series 3 Land Rovers® we’ve had in recent times. Often when we sell these vehicles, they do have some of the upgrades this has, but it is very unusual to see the ‘whole package’ that this one is. Not only does it benefit from TDI power and larger wheels and tyres, meaning you can keep with (and even overtake!) modern traffic flow, but it also benefits from power steering – meaning low speed manoeuvres are a far easier task. In addition to that – there are uprated parabolic springs with pro-comp shocks, which gives the best possible ride comfort – often the greatest Achilles heel of these. As if ALL that isn’t quite enough – this Series 3 also benefits from a full set of disc brakes – we’ve never had a Series 3 that can stop even half as well as this – the brakes are so incredible that, even with your belt on you almost hit the dashboard! You will not find a better, more civilised Series 3 to drive than this.
In summary, if you are looking for a Series Land Rover® that you, the wife, the kids and the dogs can enjoy – then this is for you. With those amazing modern upgrades meaning almost anyone could drive it with ease, along with the striking cosmetics, if you are looking for a Series to use more frequently, this is a fantastic option. Oh, and it is also exempt from road tax and MOT too, and qualifies for classic insurance! It is very unlikely we would see this combination of upgrades again, and to specify and do these to a Series Land Rover® which doesn’t have them would cost much more than this one…..
