1963 Land Rover Series IIA 109'' 2. 25 Petrol -Simply Lovely
An unusual one for us a Kingsley - this delightful Land Rover is in excellent usable condition. Built in November of 1963 as a RHD Home Market vehicle supplied to the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries in London SW1.
This Land Rover has some really nice, rare period accessories including a fully operational, very rare Capstain winch, a heater for the cabin as well as an external sun shield, and the read bed has a very lovely wood floor and side cushions.
Unlike a lot of Land Rovers of this age the cabin is a really comfortable place to be, the seats are in excellent condition, all of the sealing is good, the carpeting is excellent, and the sun is shaded with the external visor, and of course, you have a heater!
The Series IIA drives really well, it's been a constant, lightly used vehicle so it hasn't suffered from being left unused for extended periods which is supported by the old MOT certificates.
There is a wealth of receipts in the history file including engine rebuild parts, clutch, rebuilt gearbox, hub rebuilds, and in the last year a new carburetor, wheel cylinders, new brakes, new radiator, various gaskets as well as some paintwork.
