1983 citroen ax 1. 1i echo
rare car, plenty of the 1. 0 ax's about but very few 1. 1i with 5 speed gear box.
we got this one together with an ax gt. Were were going to use it for spares but it is really too good and the gt didn't really need any bits off of the car.
last mot expired in august last year (18/ 8/ 2021). only reason we haven't got it mot;d is that it has a cracked windscreen which would be cheaper to replace under insurance.
good bits.
mostly complete - missing only the cigarette lighter and radio.
not messed around with - still has original air intake etc.
all seems to work with the exception of the central locking.
bad bits
windscreen cracked
handbrake will need adjusting before mot - seems to work ok but the travel is a bit excessive.
might need minor repair to inner drivers side wing where they all rust.
some rust "scabs" around windscreen.
tyres are not great.
only 1 key - but there is no immobiliser so cheap to get another cut.
overall it is a solid car, underneath looks good.
it really goes well with the 1. 1 injected engine.
genuine future classic, priced to sell.
