Hello, here for sale is my J reg 1992 Ford Escort 1. 8 LX with just shy of 59, 000 miles on the clock.
I bought this car last October having been off the road since 2012, so the best part of a decade.
Since owning the car I have had done:
Full service inc plugs
Overhaul brakes all round, discs, pads, rear cylinders and fitting kit, fresh brake fluid.
New radiator with hoses
New clutch
Coil pack and HT leads.
4 brand new tyres.
Water pump
Cambelt
After the recommission was completed it went in for its MOT and passed after changing the tyres which was quite Amazing.
The car is mechanically sound, never welded and isn’t in need of any structural welding.
Bodywork wise, it polishes up well but has a few cosmetic issues including the bottom of the drivers side wing (see photo).
The interior is clean and tidy, has an original Ford tape deck, no rips or tears in the seats.
The drivers seat foam is disintegrating slightly so I’ve put a cover on it.
The car doesn’t come with much history but the service book is stamped up untill the original owner sold it.
Bits that need sorting, there is a couple small water leaks, doesn’t stop me from driving it but needs looking into.
Temp gauge not working.
Aux belt replacing, one comes with the car.
Couple rear speakers come with the car.
Also the original mats will come with it.
Overall, I’ve tried to be as open as possible, I’ve managed to get the car to the point of being a rolling project, the hard stuff is done.
The next owner can decide how far they want to take it.
This car is a real survivor!
