We are delighted to present for sale this ragtop Series 2a, finished in Deep Bronze Green with Limestone wheels.
Externally, there are lots of desirable period features – the vintage plates, rear grab handles, rear mudflaps, and a towball and electrics to allow towing. The vehicle sits on a set of our 750 tyres which are brand new – this uprates the gearing and gives a good stance.
The inside houses a set of standard front seats, along with a seat belt bar for over the shoulder front belts. There is a heater with front demist vents, which will be appreciated in the colder months of the year. Deluxe matting is fitted to the footwells. The rear is unfitted, except for a load mat to the floor area – but rear benches could be fitted on request for £595 to afford seating for seven including the driver.
Out on the road, this old Series drives just as it should, aided by the larger tyres which extend the gearing and make cruising a more relaxed and quieter experience. The more modern 2500cc unit has more power than the 2286cc, which helps when accelerating and maintaining a healthy speed. It delivers a pleasing period drive.
