Welcome to the sale of a very special and rare 1990 (phase 2) peugeot 205 xs 1. 4 (85bhp) in cherry red. I believe this to be one of the best examples of such a rare 205. with less than 400 left today these are a much rarer car than the gti.
The car is in incredible original condition considering its mileage and age. It has 3 previous owners, all 205 enthusiasts, the first having owned it from new until 2018 and 10800 miles.
It has an amazing service history with the original fully stamped service book and a large folder containing every invoice and documenting all work that has been done to the car going back to 1990 including the original bill of sale. It really is incredible and shows how well cared for this car has been throughout its life.
The mot history is equally impressive and i think you would be hard pressed to find another 205 with such a clean mot history which backs up just how well this car has been cared for.
Last year it was given a thorough and extensive mechanical overhaul by peugeot specialist pug racing. This included a full engine rebuild with some minor improvements to bring it up to 100bhp and closer to the feel of a euro spec rallye. The suspension and brakes have been completely rebuilt and upgraded again with slight improvements where possible. It had a gearbox refresh, full stainless exhaust and manifold, new tyres, steering rack, subframe, rear beam and much more.
Everything has been done to make this car feel and drive as good as possible without loosing the feel of the original car. It is an incredible car to drive and a complete assault on your senses, a true drivers car. A thoroughly sorted example of a very rare 205, in perfect working order that wants for nothing and is ready to drive and be enjoyed.
It has just returned from pug1off where it was given a complete check over and a clean bill of health. Added peace of mind for the new owner.
