One of only 51 rhd Mondial T Cabroilets ever made, this Ferrari is the final and arguably the most desirable iteration of the Mondial series. Ferrari set out to improve and refine the already excellent Mondial and the result is in our opinion possibly the most underrated, refined and usable classic Ferraris available.

To improve on the previous models the engine capacity was increased from 3. 2 to 3. 4 litres and became longitudinally mounted, paving the way for all future Ferrari mid engine v8 layouts. The ‘T’ model designation alluded to the transversely mounted all syncromesh gearbox and payed homage to the first use of a transverse transmission in Niki Laura’s Ferrari 312T. This new engine and gearbox layout allowed the whole drive-train of the T to be lowered by 13cm providing a lower centre of mass, the result being superior road holding and handling. Handling was further improved by increasing the front and rear tracks by 2mm and 50mm respectively along with electronically controlled shock absorbers with hard, medium or soft settings. Anti lock breaks and power steering were also included as standard.

These Changes were coupled to styling and interior revisions making this the ultimate version of the Mondial.

This particular example is a rare find. Absolutely original and immaculate in every manner showing virtually no cosmetic wear to the exterior bodywork and convertible roof. The interior is also in incredible condition with only the lightest of wear to the drivers seat visible. This example is in excellent mechanical order ready to be enjoyed by a new owner.

A full major cambelt service was carried out by a highly regarded specialist in august 2021 less than 200 miles ago and a new MOT has just been placed on the car with no advisory’s.
