This is the oldest 2 door Corvair coupe in the UK which makes it rare, confirmed with vin check and from Corvair owners club
It was assembled in the Oakland Plant which also makes it rare as most coupes were built in the Willow run plant in Michigan.
This is the 700 deluxe with a 2 speed power glide transmission.
it also still has the original gas heater.
Powered by the flat 6 engine which is also the original engine.
Car has been registered as a Historic vehicle.
Here is what has been done so far.
New floor
reconditioned fuel tank
new rear window seal
new spark plugs and wires
new coil pack
new wiring harness behind dash
reconditioned wheels
Car turns over but doesnt start
original bench seats
car also comes with a top end rebuild kit for the engine all brand new from Clarkes.
All the chrome trim is present and in very good condition, only one piece is slightly squashed but can easily be fixed.
what needs doing still as far as i can see
body work needs some attention
