Description
Built up in 1995 using 1953 USA export G80CS "desert sled" comp frame (so age-related reg) and 1950 350cc comp motor detuned for road use with heavy flywheels and soft cams. Geared down one tooth at engine. Sparks by Lucas N1R racing mag (rewound). Concentric carb. 6 volt lights. Recent suspension rebuild. 21/ 18 Akront flangeless rims with modern tyres. Correct and rare steel scrambles tank.
This is a working bike which deals comfortably with Dorset's bumpy back roads. Sourcing competition parts was hard enough in 1995 and is well nigh impossible today, so this is a chance to acquire a special bike reflecting the spirit of the times but kept on the road with sensible updates such as modern wheels and tyres. Included in sale are manuals and loads of bits eg tyres, std primary chain/ sprocket, mag, carbs, clutch parts etc.
