First registered January 1972 (K Reg) this home-market, manual gearbox, Series 3 V12 E-Type was according to the Jaguar heritage Certificate, (that is with the car’s records) supplied to its’ first keeper by RItchies of Glasgow. With just two keepers since 1984, today, it is showing just over 35, 600 miles recorded. Although, we are reluctant to warrant the mileage on any car that is over 30 years of age the odometer reading is supported by an array of past MoT certificates and the most recent keeper has told us he will provide a comfort letter that the mileage is genuine.
Finished in stunning Opalescent Gunmetal Grey, (this colour was chosen when the car was repainted in 2019). Sporting excellent Chrome Wire Wheels, the Black interior is immaculate and shows just the right amount of patina. In all, a gorgeous looking machine.
The most recent keeper who has owned the car since 2016 has in his own words “spent far more than he should have restoring the car to make it one of the best, without compromising on its rich history”, (see expenditure below). He also researched and documented the car’s ownership history from new and identified all the owners, who include a well-known classic car afficionado, Major Ben Faulkner. Major Faulkner added his personal number 18 BWF to the car and it retains this valuable number which will stay with the car at sale.
In the most recent keeper’s hands over £40, 000 has been spent maintaining and restoring with all bills on file and the works carried out being too extensive to list here but can be highlighted by an expensive re-paint by Rushton Engineering in 2019 at £9, 500 and more recently £7, 500 spent at renowned E-Type specialists WinSpeed of Guildford to renew the fuel tank and overhaul the fuel delivery and exhaust systems. Additionally, we have on file earlier invoices from the previous owners and many photographs of the car over the years.
We believe this to be one of the best Series 3 Coupes available today, with the benefit of being a home market car, (one of around 2, 100 Right Hand Drive cars built) the known ownership trail, valuable registration mark and ultra-low mileage all add up to set it apart from the rest.
On purchase, all our cars go through a 120 point Pre-Delivery Inspection, if they require a service or an MOT that is due within six months this is included within the purchase price. All our cars receive a three month insurance backed warranty. The warranty is extendable for up to 3 years your options can be discussed at purchase.
