Here’s an affordable tractor, ready to go to work today, doing everything it should do, very well presented and a full cab to keep the weather off you, it’s a similar size as a Massey 135 for less than half the money.
Its starts on the key with no heat or help, runs very well, no breathing from the dip stick (see video), oil and water in the right places and the right colour. Brakes work and hold on a steep hill, would benefit from adjusting. Smooth clutch with no slip or judder. Lift arms work quickly and smoothly, PTO selects and stops when de-selected, comes with original swinging drawbar.
Has 2353 hours recorded on the clock, won’t be right as it’s not working, but looking at the pedal wear it’s not done huge hours. Tin work is all ok, straight and solid, especially on the inner wings, all the front is nice and straight, both cab doors open and shut on the catches with a good slam, clearly been updated on the paintwork and they have made a tidy job of it. Tyres all ok with no slows or leaks, they do have age cracks and rears are down on tread, but they are fine for now. There is a hydraulic connector at the back with an old style fitting.
Not sure of year but its approx. 1975 and the serial number is easily visible so can be road registered if required, spec list states 55hp from a BMC 3. 4Lt four cylinder diesel engine coupled to a 10 speed gearbox.
Electrics all need fettling, none of the lights, wipers or dash doing anything useful, I have found all the gears but the box is very notchy and there are a lot of slots to get lost in, high and lo selector is very stiff but will move, steering is none powered so you need your Weetabix for tight areas. One of the front engine panels is homemade not original. Odd drip here and there, no puddles or squirts.

Good size tractor, well priced and tidy to look at, it will do a job for half the money of an equivalent Massey, why pay more ?
