Complete vehicle dismantled to go to the body shop. 1967 Volkswagen T1 Germany, registered as a 4-seater camper van, one of the few in Italy, last year of production with 12 volt electrics and H 1500 type engine. White background plates with black numbers from the 1990s. The motorhome has been completely dismantled for restoration. Prior to disassembly it was in perfect working order, no problems with the gearbox and gears, as well as the front end. The roof was cut off for the camouflage done 30 years ago and raised. Now the roof is to be repositioned as per the original manufacturer's instructions, as can be seen from the photos. Over the years, everything has been found to restore it with original components such as the perfect mushroom roof, a complete Westfalia camper van interior, original German luggage rack not a reproduction, rear view mirrors, opening skylight to be installed above the kitchen unit, all chrome details and front door seals, front and rear lights and many other components essential for restoration. Original exterior aluminium mouldings to be re-polished. The engine has been completely overhauled by experts. Complete with every part. There are no sheet metal parts to replace, all of which can be recovered by rebuilding, the chassis side members are perfect, as are the floor cross-members, the chute and the sheet metal of the boot covering the engine are perfect. An additional complete front end with disc brakes is also supplied, which can be used with a few adjustments.
The T1 was born Panel in 67 and then underwent a conversion into a camper van in the 1970s by a group of Italian doctors who went on a humanitarian mission to Africa. Clearly everyone is free to create their own set-up to their liking, being in compliance with the documentation in the camper van book.
