Description
After doing some research and asking an expert in Stage 1s the history of this Stage 1 is unique
After being built in 1979 (Yes 1979) it was delivered to Mr R C Lees (Bob Lees) who was Engineering Manager at Land Rovers Drayton Road Development facility.
It has many unique features and was built (and converted back) from LHD to RHD
It was also set up with twin fuel tanks (as per the Stage 1 prototypes)
Also it was fitted with a split charge battery system, the battery box under drivers seat is also unique
Original engine and gearbox with low engine number recorded matching log book
Also SKV 777W was built at the same time and is part of the Dunsfold collection (see pic)
Also comes with Heritage Certificate and great history folder including all listed owners
The first person to view the vehicle wanted to purchase and ship to Italy but EU rules and tax meant this was not possible
