Description
⸻
A truly exceptional, one-family-owned example from new, showing very low and fully verified mileage.
This is a UK-supplied, right-hand-drive Jaguar E-Type V12 Roadster, fitted with the highly desirable manual gearbox and finished in its original colour combination.
Our Managing Director was delighted to acquire this outstanding car. It is a matching-numbers UK car, owned by just father and son from new, a fact reflected on the V5. Although showing two keepers, ownership passed from father to son approximately 20 years ago.
The car has benefitted from significant recent investment. In 2017 it was fully repainted at a cost of nearly £17, 000, and more recently over £10, 000 has been spent with the engine removed, fully reconditioned, detailed, and reinstalled. While the engine was out, the entire engine bay was comprehensively detailed, including refurbishment of the inside of the bonnet. Panel gaps are excellent throughout, having been professionally set up by ourselves.
The interior was fully refurbished in 2023 at a cost of nearly £4, 000, and has since received new carpets and a further refresh. We have taken great care to keep the car exactly as it left the factory. It is finished in Silver Metallic, its original colour, with a red leather interior, matching carpets, and a black hood. The brightwork is exceptional, and the overall presentation is simply stunning.
The engine has been consistently maintained throughout its life, with approximately £5, 000 spent several years ago prior to the most recent comprehensive work.
The car is offered with a very strong history file, detailing extensive maintenance and restoration over the years. The mileage of 54, 412 miles from new is fully documented and confirmed. Examples with this level of originality, provenance, and family ownership are now extremely rare.

History
According to the accompanying Jaguar Heritage Certificate, chassis number 1S2317 was completed on 22nd August 1973, finished in Silver with Russet leather upholstery and a black soft-top. It was dispatched to P. J. Evans of Birmingham and supplied via the Castle Street, Worcester dealership. First registered as SFK 600M on 18th January 1974, it was purchased new by the original owner and used extensively during the 1970s, including memorable family duties. Thereafter, usage was largely limited to holidays in France and Cornwall.
Although driven sparingly over the past 30 years, the car has continued to receive careful attention. In 2008, extensive mechanical work was carried out by leading marque specialist CMC of Bridgnorth, including power steering, brakes, suspension bushes, rear subframe and differential, carburettors, fuel lines, cooling system, stainless steel exhaust, and new tyres, at a cost of £12, 425. 58. Further improvements followed over subsequent years, including brake and clutch components, ignition upgrades, repainting, interior detailing, and hood replacement.
Passing to the son in 2015, the sale is described as a reluctant one due to the family history, but offered now due to lack of time to maintain the car to the standard it deserves.
A rare opportunity to acquire a superbly maintained, low-mileage, one-family-owned V12 E-Type Roadster
