Introduced in 1906, the Silver Ghost, originally named the „40/ 50hp“quickly gained a reputation for reliability, comfort and performance, establishing Rolls-Royce as preeminent luxury car manufacturer.

Powered by powerful inline-six engine, the Silver Ghost provides pleasant cruising capabilities. Its chassis is known for its robust construction and sophisticated suspension system which ensures comfortable ride.

Offered car #22HG is in lovely preserved condition. Sophisticated convertible bodywork was built by Rolls-Royce’s main coachbuilder, Hooper&Co. With the beautiful original dark green tanned interior and all the details present, this car is really pleasure to look at. Engine and chassis haven’t been inspected but seems to be in good condition. From the history is known that this late series Silver Ghost had only three owners since new. First owner was known person, Marquis Manuel Barron de Escandon. He was a Mexican polo player in the 1900 Summer Olympics and with his team he achieved Mexico’s historically first Olympic medal. Later he married into the Spanish nobility and gained the title by which he was widely known. He moved to Spain but resided in Biarritz, France, where he was probably using the car. Car then passed to French collector and Italian collector, the last owner. Modifications made to the vehicle include vertical radiator shutters as fitted to Phantom I’s, and four-wheel brakes, which were no factory equipment until the S-series of 1924. Present with the car is file with documentation including old French title.
