The Triumph Stag is a 2+2 sports tourer styled by Italian designer Giovanni Michelotti. Featuring monocoque construction, independent suspension, power assisted steering and drivetrain of the Triumph 2000 saloon. All stags were built as four seat convertibles with the addition of a roll bar attached to the windscreen via T-bar this was to conform with American safety standards. Powered by 3000cc V8 engine producing 145bhp propelled the car from 0-60mph in just 10. 5 secs and onto 117 mph.
The Triumph Stag offered here at Autostorico is finished Tahiti Blue with Beige interior trim and has covered an indicated 85, 519 miles. Supplied to its first owner via Armstrong Massey Ltd, Hull on 9th June 1977 with the following options: Cast alloy wheels, Overdrive, Hard top, Sundym tinted glass, Laminated windscreen, Headrests and inertia reel seat belts. Purchased by its current owner in 2022 who has maintained it to a very high standard with no expense spared. Recent works have included a mechanical refresh including a brake overhaul carried out by Stag specialist Enginuity.
