Description
Just arrived in part exchange at South Norfolk Classics is this super rare 1966 Alfa Romeo Giulia GTC Sprint.
One of just 1002 car made which just 99 were made in RHD format.
All production was between 1964 and 1966 with our car being registered on April 28th 1966 to its first owner the late well know film and theatre actor Brian Rix.
We sold this stunning Alfa back in December to a serial classic car buyer who purchased it as a box ticking exercise but has always bought British and having owned several Morgans in the past has decided to trade it back in with us for another Morgan.
Prior to the last owner the Alfa came from long term ownership and has covered just 73970 miles from new.
Finished in Rosso Red with Charcoal interior and a Black mohair hood and hood cover.
We have just carried out a major service with carbs stripped and rebuilt , brake overhaul, new battery, five new tyres, new starter motor, period seat belts fitted and a new starter motor.
Even in todays terms the GTC feels quite lively with its 1570cc all aluminium twin cam engine mated to a five speed gearbox and running two twin choke 40 DCOE Weber carburettors.
The braking system was also well ahead of its time with Dunlop disc brakes on all four wheels as well as being servo assisted.
What’s not too like with this stunning Italian four seater stylish convertible which is ULEZ compliant and would be a super trendy way to drive in our capital city without paying congestion charges.
The GTC had a very comprehensive restoration in 1996 and still remains in excellent condition today.
