The Triumph TT600 is a part of Triumph's entry into the modern sportsbike market during the early 2000s. The TT600 was designed to compete with established rivals like the Yamaha YZF-R6 and Honda CBR600, offering a British twist on the popular middleweight sportbike genre. It featured a 599cc inline-four engine, producing approximately 98 horsepower, and was paired with a six-speed transmission. The TT600's sleek styling, fully adjustable suspension, and advanced technology made it an appealing choice for both experienced riders and those looking to step up from more basic machines. Despite its potential, the TT600's market reception was mixed, and it ultimately struggled to compete with the more refined Japanese models. Still, it has gained recognition as a well-engineered machine, offering a blend of comfort and performance for everyday riders and track enthusiasts. This particular 2000 Triumph TT600 is a low-mileage example, with only 11, 599 miles on the clock. Recently, the private vendor has realised that advancing age and ill health prevent him from riding it. In March 2025, a new battery was installed, and the bike is said to have started immediately, running well. However, due to the bike's lack of use in recent years, it is recommended that it should have basic safety checks before taking to the road again. The machine comes with the owner's toolkit under the seat, and documentation includes the current V5C, original book pack folder with owner's handbook, original sales brochure, service handbook, some invoices, and a quantity of expired MoT certificates.
All lots are sold 'as is/ where is' and Bidders must satisfy themselves as to the provenance, condition, age, completeness and originality prior to bidding. Visit the Bonhams Motorcycles website for all pertinent auction information.
