I am selling my Ford GPW Jeep after a very careful and complete restoration (chassis, body, engine, boxes, electrics, etc.). We have kept as many original parts as possible, in particular those marked F. Originally khaki in colour, we discovered during the restoration and after stripping the various layers of paint that its original colour was navy and decided to return it to its original state. Registered on 19 May 1944 after demobilisation (CG collection), the serial numbers on the body and chassis correspond to the year 1943. We have limited the markings to the practical 'Navy' without star or naval anchor, leaving it to the future owner to complete.
The only deviations from the original are the jerrycan and the on-board kit, which are not normally found on Navy models, and the indicators inserted in the black-out lights. The original mileage is of course unknown, just a few dozen km since the restoration was completed in the autumn of 2024. Parts invoices and photos of the restoration are available on request.
