The 230 F1 Team R26, the most powerful Megane at its launch, was built to celebrate Renault’s 2006 Formula One triumph, winning both the Constructors’ title and Fernando Alonso’s second Drivers' Championship in the R26 F1 car
Building on the Megane 225, featuring an additional 5bhp, a limited-slip differential, other performance upgrades including BC Racing DR coilovers with 7kg/ 8kg spring rates, lowered and corner-weighted suspension, Black Edition brake discs, Carbon Lorraine RC5 front pads, and Ferodo DC2500 rear pads.
Purchased by our vendor in 2016 as a standard vehicle, with the intention of preparing the car for circuit use/ track days although keeping it road legal
The stripped interior features OMP bucket seats on KTec subframes, TRS 6-point harnesses with lightweight buckles, and a gloss black Oreca 6-point roll-cage professionally installed and welded by Gary Feakins Racing. A harness bar and door-bar posts are custom-positioned, and an OMP dished steering wheel completes the setup
Supplied with original hand books, and numerous invoices, along with the original spare wheel and jack, spare steering wheel with inactive airbag (for MOT purposes.) and a bespoke red anodised tow loop
