INTRODUCTION
The pleasure of open top driving has a very special place in the heart of many Ferrari fans. The 308 GTS was developed in collaboration with Pininfarina in 1977, to help make that dream come true. When not in use, its hard-top could be easily stored away behind the seats. The chassis was reinforced to compensate for the lack of a full roof.
Technically, it was almost identical to the 308 GTB, both cars were mounted with a 3, 0 liter V8 engine with 240 BHP and a 5 speed transmission.
Production ran from 1977 till 1980 during which a total of 3219 examples were built.
PROVENANCE
This specific 308 GTS, chassis 30139, left the Maranello factory on 19-11-1979 in the color combination of Nero with Crema 3997 leather. The car was delivered a few months later, through Crepaldi Auto SPA in Milan, to its first Italian owner on 04-04-1980.
The car has recently been serviced and Ferrari Classiche Certified to bring it to an even higher level and confirm the authenticity and originality.
