Description
1964 ALFA ROMEO 2600 SPIDER
Registration Number: BFX290B
One of only 102 factory produced right hand drive cars all of which were manufactured in 1964, of a total production of only 2255 spiders.
This is the last model to use Alfas classic six cylinder, twin cam engine, the company deciding to concentrate on the four cylinder unit for future models.
Bodied by Carrozzeria Touring of Milan, this spider is finished in the correct colour of Grigio Biacca and trimmed in navy leather.
The matching numbers engine still runs on its original triple Solex carbs.
Recent work to the car has included, repaint to correct colour, new bumpers, new battery, new door window seals and new carpets.
Comprehensively restored in the late 80s the car has covered approx 5000miles since as it has been garage kept by collectors who have ensured that the car has been maintained to a high standard. This is a rare car in beautiful condition & is part of a high end collection where it shares garage space with an r type continental fastback & SS100 Jaguar 3. 5 Litre along with assorted other exotica. The collection is maintained to the highest standards with a money no object approach where only the best will do.
