A beautiful, richly-equipped British collector's model with a melodious 6-cylinder engine! VEITURA is delighted to present this British icon of the 70s for sale: the Triumph TR6 is the latest roadster in the famous TR line! More modern, more elegant and sportier-looking, it was designed in conjunction with the famous coachbuilder KARMANN, and nevertheless retains many features in common with its illustrious predecessors ... It was produced from the end of 1968 until 1976 in American and then European versions, in just under 95, 000 units in all! Now powered by an in-line 6-cylinder engine (instead of 4-cylinders), the TR6s were either carburetted (the famous Strombergs) or fitted with the first injections. The in-house gearbox was a 4-speed, with Overdrive available as a period option. The chassis and suspension were the same in both the US and Europe, notably the independent rear wheels. A few styling changes will be made over the long life of this iconic and much-loved model! Our magnificent example in BLUE ROYAL (Code 56) is a USA version with carburettors (6-cylinder, 12-valve, 2498 cm3, 106 bhp engine) and left-hand drive. It features the much-appreciated OVERDRIVE gearbox option. It was completely restored in 2000, before our current owner's "Coup de Coeur" purchase (For the record ... at the 2001 Reims Motor Show, it was exhibited on the stand of a well-known professional!) It is in very good general condition from every point of view, with bodywork and paintwork of the finest effect, in keeping with the version, and unaltered. The interior upholstery is red and in very good condition, having been changed during the restoration from the original black. The dashboard is in keeping with the model, with all its original and functional equipment, enhanced by a mechanical watch, a 3-spoke wooden steering wheel (the original is of course available for sale) and a quality K7 CD radio on the centre console for when you're out and about! Seat belts have been added. The chassis and rocker panels are in very good condition, with no perforating corrosion, traces of repair or deformation, as attested by the detailed expertise carried out very recently. Nor have any of the car's mechanical components leaked from any source whatsoever! This car was first registered in January 1969 and has therefore belonged to its current owner for 24 years (2001), having been imported into France in 1996. Our owner is a great lover of classic cars and also owns several very nice pleasure cars. Trained as an electromechanic with a rich professional past, he has been President of a major enthusiasts' association for several years, and carries out servicing and maintenance himself, using strictly original parts and components. High-quality work! Less than 9, 000 kilometres have been covered in 24 years... Most of this work has been carried out in recent years: In addition to regular periodic maintenance, the rear axle has been completely rebuilt (2007), the engine has been completely rebuilt (tensioner, timing chain and sprockets, segmentation, cylinder head gasket, etc. in 2014), the clutch and its mechanism, the thrust bearing and receiver (2014), and more recently the alternator, the fuel pump and its filter, the air filter, the ignition head, the platinum screws and condenser, etc. Nothing is to be expected on the car today! Documentation and some available parts will be provided for sale. To date, the 5-figure odometer shows 12, 400 miles, or 1, 955 km. The registration document is Collection. The last MOT was carried out and validated in June 2024 and is therefore valid for 5 years. It will of course be repeated for the sale (less than 6 months). A detailed and meticulous appraisal dated 1st July 2025 has been carried out and is available for sale from the owner. It confirms in every detail the high quality of our example, which is unfortunately not always the case with passion cars over 55 years old!
