Description
The MGA was a roadster sports car produced by British carmaker MG (Morris Garages). It was presented at the 1955 Frankfurt Motor Show and built until 1962. It succeeded the MG T-type roadsters of 1936, making the manufacturer the world leader in the sports car market. From autumn 1955, MG A cars were exported to the United States. Their speed (100 mph or 160 km/ h) and affordable price ensured their success with American customers, who were infatuated with small British roadsters at the time. A total of 80% of MG A production was exported to the North American market.
