MASERATI MERAK 2000 GT
DIALED IN METALLIC BLUE WITH BEIGE LEATHER INTERIORS
The Maserati Merak 2000 GT, unveiled at the Turin Motor Show in 1977, was a special version of the Merak designed for the Italian market, where taxes penalised cars over 2 litres displacement. Built from the late 1970s to 1983, it was fitted with a 1, 999 cc V6 engine capable of around 170 hp. Of the Merak 2000 GT, only about 190–200 examples were produced, making it the rarest model in the Merak family (roughly 1, 830 units in total across the range).
Designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro, it marks a transitional Maserati model, born from taxation considerations but now highly prized for its elegance, rarity and historical value.
In particular, our Maserati Merak 2000 GT has benefited from a full conservative restoration, covering the chassis, bodywork, engine and all mechanical and ancillary components. The splendid metallic blue paint is paired with the original white eco-leather interiors, commissioned by the first owner, giving the car a genuine, timeless charm.
