Description
Just occasionally, a really superb example of a marque appears for sale and this is it.
The Mini was marketed under BMC's two main brand names, Austin and Morris until 1969, when it became a marque in its own right.
The Morris version was known to all as the Mini or Mini-Minor. The word minor is Latin for "lesser"; so an abbreviation of the Latin word for "least"–minimus–was used for the new even smaller car.
The Mini etched its place into popular culture in the 1960s with well-published purchases by film and music stars
ABOUT THIS CAR
This car is in stunning condition having been very well cared for all its life. It would be hard to see or find another example like it. It has done 39115 miles from new and has had f0ur long term owners. The first two owners were in the same family who owned the car for 39 years. The third owner owned for over 6 years and restored the car mechanically, stripped the car down, repainted, fitted new rubber and five brand new tires. We obtained the car at the time and sold it to the now previous owner, who we bought the car back from. He owned it for the last 11 years.
