Introduced in 1959, the Jaguar MK2 marked a significant evolution over the MK1, with enlarged glazing areas, a widened rear track and four-wheel disc brakes. The 3. 8-litre version, produced in 30, 141 units until 1967, was the most capable in the range, appreciated by both the police and enthusiasts of sporty driving.
Under the bonnet, you’ll find the inline six XK engine of 3, 781 cc, developing 220 bhp at 5, 500 rpm and 326 Nm of torque at 3, 000 rpm. Paired with a four-speed manual, this powerplant could sprint from 0 to 100 km/ h in 8. 8 seconds and reach a top speed of 210 km/ h.
The cabin, true to British tradition, offers a refined ambience with burr walnut veneer trim and leather seats. The driving position, clear instruments and the quality of materials testify to the care that went into designing this saloon.
This MKII underwent substantial restoration work between 2019 and 2024. The engine was replaced, the upholstery and woodwork restored, new wheels fitted.
