Description

Chassis No. ZFFBT55Bthe details below

After six years on the market, Ferrari continued the trend of refining its range-as shown by the agile 360 Modena and updated 456M-by updating its flagship 550 Maranello. Unveiled in 2002, the new 575M (Modificato) Maranello received subtle but purposeful exterior modifications including a reshaped front spoiler, smaller front air intake, relocated fog lamps, and new, lighter five-spoke alloy wheels. The 65-degree V12 engine now featured an enlarged bore (89. 0 mm) and a longer stroke (77. 0 mm), increasing the displacement from 5, 474 cc to 5, 748 cc. Combined with an improved compression ratio of 11. 0:1 and refined valve timing, the engine now produced an impressive 515 CV at 7, 250 rpm, with torque reaching 588 Nm at 5, 250 rpm.

The biggest story of the 575 Modificato was its incorporation of the F1-style gearbox with its electrohydraulic clutch and paddle shifters-the first application of this system in a roadgoing V12 Ferrari. It offered two distinct operating modes: Sport and Normal (plus an additional Low Grip setting). Both of these modes also had an effect on the adaptive damping system, which itself offered Sport and Comfort settings. In Sport, the suspension delivered a firmer ride and faster damper response time of 80 milliseconds, and a softer, bump-free ride in Comfort.

The Ferrari 575M Maranello chassis number 131751 was delivered new in Nero Daytona with Nero leather interior on 28 March 2003, via Charles Pozzi SA, Paris, to its first owner, Claude Dray, a prominent businessman and major modern art collector residing in Neuilly-sur-Seine. It was subsequently acquired by a Swiss owner in 2007, through Ferrari Zenith in Lausanne. The car now forms part of an important French supercar collection, in which it has seen very little use, explaining its exceptionally low mileage of 23, 790 km on the odometer at the time of cataloging.

Regularly maintained, as evidenced by the stamps in the service booklet and the invoices available for review. It has always been cared for by official Ferrari specialists, including Charles Pozzi in Paris and Gauduel Sport in Lyon, France. At the latter, it received a major service in June 2024, including replacement of the timing belts and clutch, and has covered only 70 km since. Recently fitted with new tires, it comes with its manuals and service booklet in their original leather pouch.
