Series II
Delivered new to France
Color rarity: Grigio Notte
Restored in Italy
In 1960, Ferrari replaced the 250 GT Coupé, which like all its predecessors had been a pure two-seater, with the larger 250 GT 2+2. With this model, the company once again broke new ground: it was Ferrari's first series-produced four-seater and, to date, the company's largest car.
Furthermore, its features were more luxurious than any previous model. With this repositioning, Ferrari also expanded its customer base.
The 250 GT 2+2 was a great commercial success for Ferrari. 954 examples left the factory in Maranello in three series, with our car being one of approximately 355 units from the second series.
Our vehicle was delivered new in France in 1962 in the rarely chosen, but absolutely elegant color "Grigio Notte".
The Ferrari remained in France for almost its entire life. In 2012, the then-owner from Paris decided to have the car restored.
The car was then taken to northern Italy, where it was restored by well-known Ferrari specialists.
The work also included an overhaul of the engine and gearbox, as well as a repaint in its original color “Grigio Notte”.
Since 2014, it has been part of a larger collection in Germany and is also registered in Germany.
