Description
A wonderfully unusual 1995 Bentley Continental R finished in a rare and eye-catching specification of solid Magnolia paintwork over Cream and Tan leather. The cabin is beautifully appointed with rich wood veneers and intricate inlay detailing, perfectly capturing the craftsmanship and opulence expected of Bentley’s flagship grand tourer of the era.
The interior specification is delightfully period correct and well equipped, featuring heated electric memory seats, good sound system with Dolby radio and 6-disc CD changer, the wonderfully nostalgic Motorola 90s brick phone, and a stitched leather headlining. It sits on the correct 17-inch alloy wheels, all wrapped in a matching set of good Bridgestone tyres.
Recently imported from Georgia, USA, the real highlight of this example is the condition underneath. The underside structure is exceptionally clean and completely rust free — something that is becoming increasingly rare on cars of this age. It remains left hand drive and would be perfectly suitable for export.
Mechanically the car has benefitted from substantial recent expenditure, with over £9, 000 spent on maintenance and repairs. Works include extensive suspension work, gearbox service, replacement steering rack, washer pump, horns, gas springs and more besides.
Supplied NOVA documentation. The car is not currently UK registered.
This is not a concours example — it has covered just over 100k miles — but it is a very usable and honest car with fantastic presence. The standout feature is undoubtedly the superb rust-free underside, something that sets this car apart from many others on the market.
A distinctive and characterful Continental R in a very unusual colour combination, offering a great opportunity to enjoy one of Bentley’s most iconic modern classic grand tourers.
