Vehicle history:
This Ferrari was manufactured in October 1970 and delivered to Canada new through the official importer George Woolley. According to the original warranty card in the records, it was initially delivered to a certain Jean Pierre Forgel, who lived a little outside of Montreal. The Daytona, which was originally painted in Grigio Ferro (106-E-8), still retains its original leather interior. This leather interior in Rosso (VM 893) is trimmed with black inserts. In 1990, the Quebec owner Laurent LeMairre offered chassis 13827 for sale in Band 15 of the “Ferrari Market Letter.” Archived historical documents show that the Ferrari was imported into Switzerland in January 1991.
In 1997, chassis 13827 was purchased by Mr Richoz, who immediately began a series of repairs. Invoices from November of the same year totalling over 16, 804 CHF document the complete dismantling of the engine for cleaning, the removal and replacement of a damaged piston, and the reassembly. In 2005, the bodywork included repairs to both rear fenders and a repaint of the boot lid and rear bumper. Five years ago, a German collector bought the Daytona and used it for around 5, 000 kilometres in good weather. The Ferrari still has its original engine. The gearbox was swapped years ago. Included with the 1970 Ferrari 365 GTB/ 4 Daytona are the original owner's manual with the original warranty card and a toolkit roll.
