The 1995 BMW M3 GT presented here, by Animoya Garage, is number #160 of 356 GTs produced and has just 146, 000 km and remains in very original condition. Originally delivered to Germany, optioned with a sunroof, this GT was first registered in May of 1995 to a gentleman in Berlin. During their ownership, they would have been regularly serviced at Schiel and Bobrink & Co, GmbH, while racking up a total of 38, 389 km (~23, 853 mi) by 1996.
In March of 1998, it was sold to another Berlin resident who enjoyed the GT in a similar fashion racking up kilometers across Germany. After a decade of ownership, in 2008, the M3 was acquired by its third owner with the recorded mileage at the time of 134, 900 km (~83, 822 mi). According to the history file on record, the car was registered on March 22nd, 2013 and was afterward moved with red license plates; these plates are equivalent to United States dealer plates.
In June of 2023, we had Orchird Euro in Pottstown, PA help us with the import process and the car landed in the port of Baltimore. One month later, the experts at Leading Edge Autosport in West Chester, PA to undergo the repairs required to be fully road worthy. The service totalled over $5, 600 and was comprised of a new battery vent tube kit, A/ C system’s valves and system refill, oil and filter, front suspension coil springs & rear suspension shocks, drive belts, fuel filter, oil pressure sensor, spark plugs, air filter, passenger side sun visor bulb, brake system and transmission flush, new tires and a dry ice clean of the entire engine bay and underside. In August of 2023, it made its way back to Leading Edge Autosport for a new fuel pump assembly.
Today, this M3 GT sits at 146, 146 km (90, 910 mi) and represents a well-cared-for example of a rare German homologation car which was produced in extremely low quantities. It retains most of its original paint, its GT-specific original wheels, and modifications. Despite the mileage, it presents extremely well and still provides one of the best BMW driving experiences you can buy. It also checks all of the collectability boxes that the current market is rewarding; limited production, high-performance homologation special, unique color combination inside and out, and great markers of originality. While M3s are generally already collectible due to them being high-performance models of BMW’s best-selling model, limited-edition models like this M3 GT and the US-only M3 Lightweight are even more sought after.
Upon purchase, the new owner will receive the owner’s manuals with numerous service stampings, a set of extra keys, original German paperwork, and all of the service records on file.
