The Ford Escort we present is a 1975 vehicle, prepared with the aim of replicating the legendary Ford Escort RS2000, while maintaining the character and aesthetics of the iconic competition Escorts.
Mechanically, this example is equipped with a Ford Pinto 2. 0L (2000cc) engine, 205 block, built with forged pistons and connecting rods, producing 184 hp measured on a dynamometer. This delivers performance far superior to the original, with a clearly sporty driving character.
The transmission is handled by a Ford T9 gearbox, fitted with a short shifter, allowing for shorter, quicker, and more precise gear changes.
It also features a limited-slip differential.
In terms of chassis, it is equipped with coilover suspension, providing greater control, stability, and adjustability for a more demanding and dynamic driving experience. The body has also been reinforced, increasing structural rigidity and ensuring a more solid and effective performance, matching the vehicle’s mechanical upgrades.
