Description
1977 FORD F250 CUSTOM 4L 'HIGHBOY' 4X4 PICKUPThe 1977 Ford F-250 Custom is a classic 'sixth-generation' F-Series pickup known for its durability and the iconic 'dentside' body style. Despite the 'Custom' name, it was actually the base trim level for Ford trucks in 1977, offering a no-frills, work-oriented interior. 1977 saw the introduction of the 351M and 400 V8 engines, which replaced the aging 360 V8. A 300 cubic-inch inline-6 was also available for those prioritising torque and reliability over raw horsepower. 1977 was a transition year for the F-250 4x4. Models built before February 1977 are often called 'Highboys' because they sit higher due to a narrower frame and divorced transfer case. Later 1977 models moved to a wider 'low-boy' frame.
