Description
1976 Porsche 934
One of only 31 Porsche 934s produced, Chassis #0172 was the 22nd of the 31 and was sold new in 1976 to the Firestone Tire importer in Germany.
Boasting a long and distinguished racing history with no major accidents, including eleven podiums and eighteen race wins, along with a documented ownership history supported by a condition & history report from one of the World’s leading Porsche experts.
When the 934 debuted, it was remarkably close to production specification, making it an ideal candidate for road conversion especially as the 934’s all had good ground clearance. We have slightly softened the race car feel with the engine tuned for better drivability, allowing it to start from cold, idle smoothly, and deliver power progressively. The result is a 480 bhp car weighing around 1, 100 kg, making it a relatively simple conversion to a radicle road car.
Inside, it retains a road car feel, enhanced with a few racing upgrades: Fully carpeted cabin with two custom upholstered racing seats with matching door panels, and new dash top and a colour coded custom leather-covered roll cage, and small-diameter steering wheel. The factory equipped 934’s with power windows, which we retained and are still functional.
Although there are a handful of other 934’s converted for road use, our car has been uniquely and sympathetically converted with a more road car feel to the interior in our own workshops and road registered in the UK/ EU . All original parts removed during this process have been carefully retained, allowing for a straightforward conversion back to full race specification by us or any competent race engineering shop with our guidance.
