Previously offered by us at the Silverstone Festival in August 2025, this striking Chamonix White 2002 had spent 13 years with its previous owner, an experienced engineer who had worked with BMW in the UK and Germany for more than 20 years
Built over several years to his own requirements, it combines purposeful 2002 Turbo styling with genuine BMW components wherever available, an Autoplas rear window louvre and twin Weber DCOE carburettors
Mechanically upgraded with a new cylinder head, Ireland Engineering manifold, twin Weber DCOE 40s, Schrick 292° camshaft and stainless-steel exhaust, together with refurbished subframes, polyurethane bushes, Bilstein suspension and adjustable anti-roll bars
Following its sale with us last year, we understand the car was subsequently offered as the prize in an online competition and won by our vendor. Despite having the option of a cash alternative, he chose the BMW, the 2002 having long been one of his bucket-list cars
Since taking delivery, he has enjoyed the car over the summer whilst having it thoroughly inspected, fitting four new tyres and changing the fluids. A change in circumstances, including university bills, has reluctantly brought his intended longer-term ownership to an early conclusion
