Vehicle History:
The DB4 was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in 1958. The car was an entirely new vehicle, which represented a considerable achievement for a highly respected but small British manufacturer. With a completely new chassis, disc brakes on all wheels and an entirely new 3. 7-litre straight-six engine, the DB4 was crowned with a beautiful fastback body designed by Touring in Milan. A masterpiece of British engineering with Italian design flair. Only 149 examples of the first series were produced by Aston Martin. Of these, 73 left the factory as left-hand drive models.
This Aston Martin was first delivered to Hollywood, USA. There it had 3 owners and was put away in the early 1970s. Fifteen years ago, the car was purchased by a German collector. The DB4 was then meticulously restored to perfection over many years by an expert hand in Germany. The car was previously complete and roadworthy, but after 60 years had acquired too much patina. The owner took this as an opportunity to restore this coupé down to the last detail. The restoration is extensively documented with numerous photographs. The car corresponds exactly to the original factory records and is therefore "matching numbers" and "matching colour". This vehicle is arguably the finest DB4 currently offered for sale on the worldwide market.
