Description
L'atelier des 1000 is pleased to offer for sale this Triumph TR4 in a rare and sought-after summer configuration with its Baby Blue finish and black interior with white piping.
Our example is a 1964 model and was restored in Switzerland in 2009. It subsequently spent part of its life in the Spanish sunshine, the underside is sound and the work was carried out with care.
It features a Targa roof called a Surrey Top which gives it an incredible silhouette, combining the benefits of a coupé and a cabriolet without the drawbacks.
The paintwork looks excellent and has a beautiful lustre.
The wheels are new and fitted with Vredestein Sprint Classic tyres in very good condition.
The chrome is perfectly gleaming.
As for the upholstery, it is in perfect condition. Its wooden Moto-Lita steering wheel complements the painted dashboard beautifully, giving this little Roadster a distinctly British charm.
The mechanics perform well, the engine starts easily without noise or smoke and the tune is entirely satisfactory.
The gearbox engages and locks correctly and is equipped with overdrive.
The running gear performs well, the steering has no excessive play, the braking is perfectly balanced whilst the suspension does its job properly.
An additional cooling fan has been fitted along with a high-torque starter for added reliability.
A service has been carried out prior to sale.
